Browse Mode

Connect a CFexpress / SD card reader to your iPhone / iPad to browse footage on the spot. Works standalone — no Mac app required.

Basic Steps

1. Connect a card reader via USB-C.

2. Tap "+ Add Folder" on the home screen and select a folder on the card.

3. Files are automatically scanned; thumbnails and metadata are displayed.

4. Tap a thumbnail to view shooting information (metadata) on the right side.

In Browse mode, ratings and LUT settings are saved locally on the device.

Sync Mode

Displays thumbnails, metadata, ratings, and LUT settings imported by PonZ Cinema Viewer for Mac via iCloud. Changes to ratings or LUTs made on mobile are automatically reflected on the Mac. This mode requires the Mac app.

Steps

1. Open Settings (gear icon) and switch to "Sync" mode.

2. Make sure you are signed in to iCloud with your Apple ID.

3. Data already imported on the Mac is automatically fetched and displayed.

4. ★ rating and per-file LUT changes made on mobile are automatically synced back to the Mac.

Synced Data

What Gets Synced

Ratings — ★ changes are pushed to iCloud immediately. Two-way sync between Mac and mobile.

File Info — Metadata and thumbnails are synced from the Mac, enabling offline browsing.

Per-File LUT Settings — Per-file LUT assignments are synced two-way via iCloud Drive. Timestamp-based conflict resolution ensures the latest change always wins.

LUT Preview

Preview LUT-applied color on thumbnails in real time for Log footage such as N-Log and RED Log3G10.

Setting Up LUT Folders

Steps

1. Tap the LUT button (three-circle icon) in the toolbar to open the dropdown.

2. Tap "LUT Folder Settings" at the bottom to open the settings screen.

3. Tap "+ Add Folder..." and select a folder containing LUT files (.cube / .3dl).

You can also register folders on iCloud Drive. Sharing the same LUT folder with the Mac app via iCloud Drive is convenient.

Applying a Global LUT

Steps

1. Tap the LUT button in the toolbar to see registered LUTs organized by folder.

2. Tap a folder → tap the desired LUT.

3. The LUT is applied to all Log footage, and thumbnail colors update accordingly.

Removing a Global LUT

Tap the LUT button in the toolbar while a LUT is active to remove it.

Tip: Global LUT only applies to Log footage (N-Log, RED Log3G10, etc.). SDR / HLG footage is not affected.
Tip: Global LUT settings are managed separately for Browse mode and Sync mode. Switching modes preserves each mode's LUT setting.

Applying a Per-File LUT

Steps

1. Long-press a file to select it, then choose a LUT from the LUT menu.

2. The LUT is applied to that file only. Per-file LUT takes priority over the global LUT.

Removing a Per-File LUT

Select "LUT OFF" from the long-press menu.

In Sync mode, per-file LUT settings are synced two-way with the Mac via iCloud Drive.
Tip: LUT settings (global / per-file) persist after quitting the app and are restored on next launch.

Scrub Playback

Swipe horizontally on an MP4 / MOV thumbnail to scrub through video frames. Quickly review content without tapping into the file, speeding up your selection workflow.

How to Use

Swipe left or right on a supported file (MP4 / MOV) thumbnail to scrub through frames.

If a LUT is applied, the scrub preview reflects the LUT-applied color.

Scrub is available for MP4 / MOV only. NRAW / R3D / CRM do not support scrub at this time.

Multi-Select & Batch Actions

Long-press a thumbnail to enter selection mode. Perform batch actions on multiple files at once.

Entering Selection Mode

1. Long-press any thumbnail to switch to selection mode and select that file.

2. Tap additional thumbnails to add or remove them from the selection.

Batch Actions

Batch Rating — Set a ★ rating for all selected files at once

Batch LUT — Apply a per-file LUT to all selected files at once

Export Report (Browse mode only) — Generate a shot report for the selected files

Exiting Selection Mode

Tap the "Cancel" button in the toolbar, or deselect all files to return to normal mode.

Shot Report (Browse Mode)

A Browse-mode-only feature. Export a contact-sheet image with thumbnails, metadata, and LUT info from card-reader footage.

Steps

1. Tap the report button in the toolbar.

2. A report image is generated.

3. Tap "Save to Photos" to save to your camera roll, or "Share" to send to another app.
